86 Life.

Model: Corolla SR5 (Converted to GTS)
Make: Toyota
Year: 1985
Owned since: ~2005

Don't ask about it, because you don't understand it unless you owned one. It's a love/hate relationship. It's a fun car to drive but really it's frustrating at times. There's a lot to do in this little car, it's quite unique, it's quite hard to explain why anyone would like such a car, considering it's an effin Corolla. It grows on you. Everyone wants one in some way or another, you just don't know it yet.

This car has been through alot. I have owned it for almost 4 years now and it's grown on me. It's a part of me and anyone who was involved in it. It's not just the car, it's the process that has really gotten me into the car scene. I'm not going to forget the stuff I've learned from it. From Carbs to Fuel injection, this car is quite interesting to drive.

I've slowly pieced this car together with the help of calling a few people, bugging them, slowly, yes, slow. Everything about this car is slow. I learned alot taking it apart as well as driving it. I couldn't have done it without the help of my friend Steven (Drifter_S) or Alex (Treefish).

Unlike newer cars, this thing has a soul type feel to it when you drive it, there's just something about old cars that give you this vibe/chill when you drive them. For only ~100whp this thing is peppy, considering it weighs ~2100lbs. That's 1600lbs lighter than my daily 05 Corolla XRS.

I've fixed a few things here and there such as brake lights, cleaned up the car, painted the car even with a friend of mine, took us 12 hours to mask, sand, prep, degrease, and spray. We used 6~8 cans of primer and I had plans to paint the car a new color in January 2009.

Hachi-Roku. AE86. Corolla. Slow and fun.
