happy (late) bday, carter!

So We did a small little get together...ate some baller style asian food and drank some Hite (means PBR in Korean), enjoyed some Tofu, and went to drink some Bubble Tea at Windmill Bakery.

Good times.
Happy (late) Birthday Carter!

Alex's Car Progression

We started to put in Alex's S14 VLSD the other day, had to use the S13 diff cover so we swapped mine onto it, drained the fluid out of my open diff and it came out nasty, check the pictures. Forgot that the S14 bolts are needed for the VLSD assembly (go figure) and the S13 bolts were too short to directly bolt up, went to Regal Nissan to order new bolts and they're on backorder. One day VLSD swap turned into a week, awesome :(

make it look hot

as Shawn says....haha. Video my friend Kevin is working on. I was just helping him out finding people for the documentary, but soon working on some typography for it. This is an early render teaser of the documentary. He titled it "Out of Control" for obvious reasons. None of the editing/video work was done by me, it was done by Kevin. He's excellent. More to come.

drift day, kiss kiss valentine's day.

I woke up at 4AM, hella early, Scenario B production team met me at my place to give me a push start to the event. Got there early. Sound crew and camera crew were ready to film. I got a few terrible runs in to start, after doing some figure 8 and adjusting tire pressure, got use to the way the car reacted and went for it. I boiled my radiator fluid pretty good from doing 5~10 minutes worth of straight 1st gear donuts. On another note...look out for a film in the works...note the multiple cameras. I didn't get much photography this time around of me except a few, Alex snapped some photos of me while driving, thanks bro :)

in before shift_lock

Drift day tomorrow. Peep the new shiftboot that Alex's girlfriend made for us. Appreciated much! More pics later....just a late night post! I got a new radiator cap since my stock one was being poopy. Checked sparkplugs, tire pressure, and other things. Good to go for tomorrow.

R32 VLSD

Alex (Treefish) let me borrow his garage for the night, since mine is being used for my friends 280Z and is occupied/taken apart. We started working on my car and getting to it.

Well, we did everything for the VLSD. Replaced the 6bolt axles with the 5-bolt axles, put the new vlsd in, had a few hiccups along the way, like stripped bolts and stuff....oh well! It's in that's what matters, waiting til tomorrow to finish it up by putting in some MT-90 fluid and some more bolts for the left side of the axles. Here's some pics to look at.

WeW (Weekend Warrior)

Niceeeeee

This past week/weekend we had a lot of progress on Alex's (Treefish) S13 hatch. Shawnshawn, Treefish, Dat, and me were all working on his 240 and got everything together in about 4 hours. We put on Stance GR+ coilovers and XXR wheels, slightly tucked fender wells and fitted. Also a type-x bumper with side valences fitted nicely on his car. Suspension needs adjustment, bumper needs paint, and vlsd needs to be installed. His brakes are like swiss cheese and have cracks in them and he will probably be replacing them soon.

starter died
As far as my car goes, nothing really happening other than my starter is chewed to hell so I have to source a new one. I've heard you can use the SOHC KA 5spd starter internals from the solenoid and replace the pieces/internals into the SR starter. If I can't find one this week I'll definitely attempt it, because it's not fun push starting a car...lol.

pull-a-part. j30 axles found.
We went to the junkyard, I found some 5-bolt J30 axles for my r32 diff., got every bolt off except the last one on the diff, some guys that were eyeing the diff the entire time, watching me struggle for 3 hours with some not so great tools eventually took it out, was hung up in the parking lot they saw me and told me they took the axles out for me, there are still nice people in the world. i also found some nice minty carpet for a whopping $8 at pull apart. I'll be cleaning up the interior and installing it soon. pic of that once it's pieced and fitted nicely :)

I took some random interior shots.
Peep the 80k low miles.
Enjoy.

Failed Emissions. Got an E-quarium

Yeah I was too lazy to drive back to Augusta to do a loophole emissions thing by registering my car in Augusta, decided to roll the dice to pass emissions, of course I didn't pass because of the nonexistent EGR equipment and useless cat.

On another note, I was at Alex's and made an Aquarium on his Wii. Listening to Moonlight Sonata.

New Stereo.

I couldn't get the previous SUMAS headunit I got from Dana to work, after rewiring it 3 times, I couldn't get it to cooperate with the speaker system properly. I bought a Sony headunit from Wallyworld for the low low. I was bored and did some clean wiring for it just so everything is organized. Here are some pics.

Oh yeah, bought some oil and a filter, going to change the oil tomorrow. Word life.
